I recently boughta plasma TV. I live at a fairly high elevation (8500ft) and I’m told that plasmas hum, and dont last very long at this hieght. This is becuase the decrese in air pressure makes the gas in the television more pressurized, which makes it hotter. his means that the cooling system has to work much harder (thus the hum) and therefore it wont last nearly as long. However, I keep my house pretty cold, around 56F. The the cooler environment help to compensate for the decrease in air pressure?

Try this. Find the nearest person in the room w/ you & ask them to define cool for you. Come back here & write what they said & maybe did physically.

& on a totally unrelated note, ask the same person to draw you a television, them come back & describe how they drew it.
